Still life in Ušivak temporary reception centre

Creating a daily log, Ramin Ahmadi took photos of all the IOM-provided meals he was served in one week. He took the same shot over and over again at the canteen at the temporary reception center in Ušivak, Sarajevo. The IOM works to provide filling and nutritionally balanced meals within its budget.

Ramin is 27 years old. He left Afghanistan three years ago with his wife and their five-year-old daughter. He traveled from Afghanistan to Iran, from Iran to Turkey, from Turkey to Macedonia and Serbia before arriving to Bosnia. In Afghanistan he worked as a liaison officer but his goal is to become a translator.
